Robert Alan Hill
Robert Alan Hill, age 57, of Greenwood, Missouri, passed away Thursday, January 14, 2010.
Robert was born June 18, 1952 in Carrollton, Missouri, the son of Russell and Naomi (Holmes) Hill. He graduated from Carrollton High School. He attended Northwest Missouri State University for one year.
On December 18, 1971 he married Jane Elizabeth McQueen in Carrollton, Missouri. She survives at the home.
Robert worked in retail management for many years, and most recently worked for Farmer’s Insurance. He was a member of the Church of Christ.
Robert is also survived by two sons, David Hill and wife, Eva, Kansas City, Missouri, Timothy Hill and wife, Dee, Belton, Missouri, two sisters, Linda Thurlo and husband, Gail, Connie Macoubrie and husband, Jim, one brother, Russell Hill, Jr. and wife, Mary, all of Carrollton, Missouri, three grandchildren, Alexander, Kelsey and Andrew Hill.
His father, Russell Hill, Sr, preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m., Monday, January 18, 2010 at Gibson Funeral Home, Carrollton, Missouri, with Evangelist Stephen Thompson officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Carrollton, Missouri.
The body will lie in state on Monday, January 18, 2010 from 8:00 a.m. until service time.
The family suggests contributions be made to the American Diabetes Association or the family’s choice in memory of Robert. They may be left at or mailed to Gibson Funeral Home, 201 S. Main, Carrollton MO 64633.
