Obituary
Jerry Gunn, 74, of Brunswick, MO died on Monday, January 18, 2010 at the Brunswick Nursing Home. Funeral services will be held at the Gibson Funeral Home in Brunswick, MO Thursday, January 21, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. Gail Brown officiating. Visitation will be on Wednesday at the Funeral Home from 6:00 – 7:30 P.M. Burial will be in the Elliott Grove Cemetery at Brunswick, MO. Memorials may be made to: Brunswick Nursing Home or to Brunswick Senior Center. Jerry was born on December 16, 1935 at Brunswick, MO the son of Edward “Jack” and Thelma Dorine Heishman Gunn. He graduated from Brunswick High School in 1954 and was married to Janice A. Susewind on April 2, 1955 at Brunswick, MO. Janice survives him at the home. Before his retirement Jerry operated and owned Gunn’s Apco at Brunswick, prior to that he had worked for Great Lakes Pipeline at Kansas City, MO, was a Kansas City Star carrier and had been the Brunswick City Marshall. He was a member of the Brunswick Baptist Church and a former member of the Brunswick Fire Department. He is also survived by son, Kirk Gunn and wife Brenda of Brunswick; daughter, Linda Myers and husband Mike of Brunswick; son Duane “Skeeter” Gunn and wife Julie of Brunswick; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Pallbearers will be, Brent Dickerson, Jan Casebolt, Steve Harmon, J.R. Reichert, Jerri Jo Myers and David Gunn. Honorary Pallbearers will be Rick Derenzy, Roger White, Bill Gann, Gene Minnis and Don Breshears.
