Lois Sharon Hughes Sharp, 62, of Valrico, FL and a former Mendon, MO resident died on Tuesday, January 26, 2010 at Tampa, FL. Funeral services will be held at the Gibson Funeral Home in Mendon, MO, Saturday, January 30, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. Gail Brown officiating. Visitation will be on Saturday from 1:00 – 2:00 P.M. Burial will be in the Mendon Cemetery. She was born on October 19, 1947 at Marceline, MO the daughter of
Claude and Viola Ruth Peden Hughes. She graduated from Northwestern High School at Mendon, MO in 1965. She was married to Gerald Dean Sharp in October of 1975 at Kansas City, MO, he survives her at the home. She had been a housewife and homemaker. She is also survived by one son, Travis Sharp and his wife Becky of Chillicothe, MO; one daughter, Deana Sharp Williams and her husband Tim of Valrico, FL; one brother, Gary Hughes and his wife Karen of Osceola, MO; one sister, Janet Sharp and her husband Rex of Atlanta, GA and four grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Darren Bruce Sharp. Pallbearers will be Kenny, Galen, Darby, Keith, Adron, Ron, Bo, and Stacey Sharp, Dennis Storey and Aaron York.
